Former Public Advocate Mark Green Endorses Ben Kallos for City Council
Praises Candidate for “Focus and Creativity” because “Ideas flow out of him like words out of Bill Clinton at a convention”
New York, N.Y. – Mark Green, former Public Advocate and Democratic nominee for Mayor of New York, endorsed Benjamin Kallos in the race to succeed Jessica Lappin for City Council on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and Roosevelt Island. In a video released today, Green praised Kallos for his “focus and creativity” as he advocated for New Yorkers to support the campaign.

Green’s remarks in full:
Over the course of my public life as an elected official as a public interest lawyer I've met and worked with hundreds of young talent and I don't know many if any who quite combine the focus and creativity of Ben Kallos. That is focus, meaning 'hey Ben did you do...? I did it yesterday Mark.' If you give him ten things to do he will do twelve. This is very good in an elected official on your side. We've all met people who are creative. Ideas flow out of him like words out of [President] Bill Clinton at a convention. To combine this left brain and right brain skill would be enormously valuable to the East Side and for New York City. I am endorsing, enthusiastically, Ben Kallos and I hope you consider doing so as well.
Serving as Director of Policy for Green’s 2009 campaign for Public Advocate, Kallos worked with Green on his "100 Ideas for a Better City." While many of the ideas have already been adopted by the City, Kallos seeks to implement those that remain.
