There have been a number of incidents involving public safety officers and residents that have raised significant concerns about the role of public safety.

Some residents don't feel comfortable or safe on Roosevelt Island because of public safety.

We are committed to working with residents to ensure that there is good governance by bringing this matter to the attention of the State's Inspector General and the media. We are also committed to standing up and fighting for the rights of Roosevelt Islanders.

Action needs to be taken to hold the public safety department accountable and to ensure the safety of all Roosevelt Islanders. There needs to be oversight over the public safety department. We propose creating a community review board of public safety.

This page allows anyone who has been a victim of public safety to speak up and voice their concerns. We urge individuals to come forward and share their story with us.
