The Ben Kallos Plan to Stop the Dump
SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT
Many leaders and policy makers argue that this plan is fair. In reality, this would be the first dump built in a residential neighborhood, and it's more than twice as expensive per ton of trash - money that could go to a better plan.
KILL BAD OLD IDEAS WITH GOOD NEW ONES
We can do better than the outdated trash plan that calls for a dump on 91st Street. We need to transition from 15% to 75% recycling to move away from a waste-to-landfill model. Other cities have done it, and so can we.
WORK TOGETHER TO FIGHT IT
Ben will work with community groups and leaders like Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and State Senator Liz Krueger to fight the dump. He will unite people to work against it becuase we are stronger when we stand together.
Pledge to support Ben and stop the dump.
